# 巽千沙都：諸行無常の中で最強の女の子を描く魔法使い
2010年に大阪デザイナー専門学校イラストレーション科、卒業展で知事賞を与えられ卒業後、「かわいいを追求する。最強の女の子を描きたい。」をテーマにして活動しています。

## かわいいを追求する魔法使い
私にとって「かわいい」は特別で神聖なものです。私の作品は、キャンバスをカラフルな色彩と甘美なモチーフで彩り、少女たちを中心に据えています。少女たちを取り囲むお菓子やアイテムは、彼女達にとっての「魔法陣」であり、かわいいという概念の最強の防御壁です。それと同時に自分を強くするための呪文でもあります。
私にとって、「少女」という限られた期間は、何よりとても尊く感じます。私の作品では、少女の無敵の輝きと、いつかは大人になるという「死」や「老い」の概念を、割れたキャンディや暗い色調などで表現しています。

## 諸行無常の美学
私の作品は、”かわいいを自由奔放に描きたい！”という素直な気持ちと、「かわいい」の刹那性やその後の人生を示唆する深い洞察を内包させています。少女性や女性性が消費される社会的状況を、地下アイドルとファンの関係性になぞらえて描き出しています。
満面の笑みの少女たちの周りには、嵐のようなキャンディやフルーツ、花びらやアクセサリー、絵文字が渦巻き、「かわいい」を象徴する”魔法陣”を形成しています。しかしそれと同時に描いている、割れたキャンディといったオブジェクトは、少女から大人への移行、つまり「意識の老成や死」を示唆しています。

## 最強の女の子を描く
私の描く少女たちは、「最強の女の子」だと自負しています。何故なら、私の描く”彼女”たちは、若さというものへの憧憬と尊さを体現しつつ、成長に伴う揺らぎや失うもの、そしてそれらへの覚悟と強い生命力を内包しているからです。私にとって、「かわいい」は一瞬だからこそ、少女から目を離さず大切に描きたいと思っています。
私は制作活動を通して、「かわいい」の追求と「諸行無常」の哲学を調和させ、現代美術の新しい地平を切り開いていきたいと思っています。私の描く「最強の女の子」たちは、儚さと強さ、かわいらしさと深遠さを兼ね備えています。あなたの心に、彼女たちの”その刹那”が深く刻まれていくことを願いながら制作しています。

A wizard who draws the strongest girls in the world.
After graduating from Osaka Designer College’s Illustration Department in 2010 with the Governor’s Prize at the graduation exhibition. The artist, Chisato Tatsumi says , “I will pursue discovering cuteness. I want to draw the strongest girl.” and it has become theme of her activities.

## A wizard pursuing cuteness
For me, ” kawaii” is something special and sacred. My works are centered around girls, painting the canvas with colorful colors and dulcet motifs. The sweets and other items surrounding the girls are a “magic circle” for them, which is the strongest defensive wall against the concept of cuteness. At the same time, they are also spells to make themselves stronger.

For me, the limited period of “girlhood” is very precious above all. In my work, I express the concepts of “death” and “aging” – the invincible radiance of a girl and her someday becoming an adult – using objects such as cracked candies and dark tones.

I want to portray “kawaii” in a free and spontaneous style, and also embrace deep insights that suggest the temporary nature of “kawaii” and the life that follows. I depict the social situation in which girls and femininity are consumed by comparing it to the connection between underground idols and their fans.

Around the smiling girls, there is a storm of candy, fruit, petals, accessories, and emojis, forming a “magic circle” that symbolizes cuteness. At the same time, however, objects such as broken candies indicate the transition from girl to adult, in other words, the “consciousness of aging and death”.

I am proud to say that the girls I draw are the “strongest girls. This is because the “girls” I portray embody the admiration and preciousness of youth, and at the same time, they contain a strong vitality and determination to confront the uncertainty and loss that accompany maturity and growth. For me, “kawaii” is a fleeting moment, and I want to paint girls with the utmost attention, never taking my eyes off of them.

Through my creative activities, I hope to open up new horizons in contemporary art by harmonizing the pursuit of “kawaii” with the philosophy of “Nothing lasts forever”. The “strongest girls” I paint combine both fragility and strength, cuteness and delicacy. I create my works with the hope that their “moment” like that will be deeply engraved in your heart.
