何十巻と続く単行本を全巻揃えるほど漫画が好きで、幼い頃からイラストを描いている子供だった。
私はただ楽しんで描き続けていたが、高校に入ってすぐ将来を案じていた折、美術科のデッサンで褒められ美術の道に進むことをその時には決めていた。
その一方で、立体物への関心が高く、日々視界に入る種々の日用品等から次々連想が膨らみ、面白グッズの量産になりかねない勢いである。私はこの日常の些細な思い付きを捉えて、作品に落とし込んでいる。
私はデザイン科に在籍し、自身のこだわりを守りながら作品にしていくことの大切さと同時に、伝えること、伝わるように作ることの大切さを学んでいる。
ゆえに、自分が日常のマテリアルに刹那的に見た面白みを伝えるための制作となっている。
ふわふわした毛糸の絡まり、裏表に重ねられ誰かがその隙間から覗いてきそうなキャンバス、地を這う蟻。
私は、そんなちょっとした興味を引くもの、その些細な面白さにしかし確かな自信を持って、これを伝える方法をいつも思案する。重力に従ってたらりと弛む毛糸の有機的かつしなやかな曲線が私を刺激する。

Momoe loved manga so much that she had a complete collection of dozens of volumes, and she had been a child drawing illustrations since she was a little girl. I continued to draw just for fun, but as soon as high school started, I was thinking about my future and decided to pursue a career in art after receiving a compliment for my sketches in the art class.

On the other hand, I am highly interested in 3D objects, and my imagination is constantly stimulated by the various everyday objects that come into my daily life, and I am on the verge of creating a mass-production of interesting products. I capture these trivial thoughts in my daily life and incorporate them into my works.

I am enrolled in the design department, where learning the importance of creating works of art while preserving one’s own particular style, as well as the importance of communicating and creating in such a way that the message would be understood. For this reason, the work is meant to convey the interest I momentarily see in the materials I use in my daily life.

Fluffy tangles of woolen yarn, canvases piled up on top of each other on the reverse side, as if someone might peek through the cracks, ants crawling on the ground.

I always ponder how to convey such a little curiosity, such trivial interest, yet with a certain confidence. The organic, supple curves of the yarn that tumbles and slackens with gravity provoke me.
Characters that have always lived inside me walk up to the elements of my findings.
