Teppei Kojima spent his childhood in Matsuba-cho, Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, and graduated from Matsuba Junior High School in the same town.
After being attracted to street culture such as music, fashion, and tattooing as college student, he entered the fashion industry as a buyer.
While buying overseas, he became fascinated once again by the beauty and depth of history of ” Bonsai” and Japanese culture and decided that he wanted to share the traditional Japanese culture of bonsai with the world. In 2015, he established TRADMAN’S BONSAI, founded Matsubaya Co. in following year.
Kojima creates spaces with “bonsai” with his one-of-a-kind perspective of the world by collaborating with various brands and artists such as “shu uemura”, “NIKE”, “Dior”, “RIMOWA”, and others.
With “Tradition is a continuous innovation” in mind, he is transmitting Japanese coolness to the world through bonsai.
