アーティスト【いちごもち】のこれまでと今の思い、これからの思いをインタビューさせて頂きました。

株式会社LWArt（ロアート）では、社名の由来であるLife With Artをテーマに様々なアーティストにインタビュー協力をして頂き作品に対する思いや、制作中の拘りを語っていただき、よりアートを身近に感じてほしい、関心を持ってほしいという思いの元インタビュー企画が始動しました。

そのインタビュー第7弾アーティストとして、描く女性はどこかアンニュイで女性や男性をも惹きつけ、国内だけでなく国外でも人気を誇る【いちごもち】さんに個展開催記念インタビューをさせて頂きました。

🟢アーティストになったきっかけ
🟢How I Became an Artist

美大を卒業して、デザイン会社の面接に何社か行ったんですけど徹夜で作業が当たり前なところばかりで。それが身体を壊したり、メンタル的に壊れてしまうのではないか、絵を嫌いになってしまうのではないかという心配があっていったん絵の仕事に就くことを諦めました。

その後ですね、結婚をして、子育てをして。子供の何気ない瞬間を残しておきたいなという気持ちが生まれて、育児絵日記を描き始めたんです。
それをFacebookとかにあげたりしてて、そしたら家族だったり、友達とか親戚の方に凄く喜んでいただけて、『あ、絵を描いて皆んなに見てもらうことってすごく楽しいことだな』という事をまた思い出したんです。

After graduating from an art school, I went to several interviews at design companies, but they all seemed to have a culture where working all night was the norm. I was worried that this might ruin my health or my mental wellbeing, and that I might end up hating drawing, so I decided to give up on getting a job related to art for the time being.

Later, after getting married and raising children, I developed a desire to capture these tiny everyday moments of my kids. This led me to start drawing a parenting pictorial diary. I began sharing it on my Facebook, and my family, friends, and relatives reacted very positively. This experience made me be aware again that “drawing and sharing it with everyone is so much fun.”

🟢影響を受けたものは？
🟢What Influenced You?

作品に影響を与えたアーティスト、まずは香港出身イラストレーターのLittle Thunderさんという方で、とても憧れています。あとは漫画家さんだったり、アニメの方からも影響を受けています。

One artist who has had a significant influence on my work is Little Thunder, an illustrator from Hong Kong, whom I greatly admire. Additionally, I have been influenced by manga artists and those in the anime industry as well.

🟢作品のこだわっているポイント
🟢Points to look at in My Work

(iPadの)消しゴムツールで線を消しながら、彫刻刀で削るように削りながら描く技法を”削り描き”と自分で名付けてるんですけど、ちょっと線を見ると図形のように見えたり、直感的なストローク、温かみのあるクラフト感が混ざっているような線でそれを自分の持ち味にしています。

今はそれをデジタルではなくてアナログでどれだけ再現出来るのかとか、逆にアナログだから出来る技法も生み出したいなと思い、日々挑戦しているところです。

I have developed a technique that I call “削り描き” (kezuri-gaki), where I erase lines using the eraser tool on my iPad while drawing as if carving with a sculptor’s knife. When you look closely at the lines, they can appear geometric or have intuitive strokes, blending in a warm, crafty feeling. This has become my distinctive style.

Currently, I am challenging myself to see how much of this can be reproduced analogously instead of digitally, and I want to create techniques that can only be achieved through analog methods. I am continually experimenting with this.

🟢Thoughts on the Solo Exhibition

『だらしない展示をしない』ていう。
自分で言っちゃってめっちゃ怖いんですけど（笑）

作品と対峙した時にエネルギーを感じるような、ビリビリしたエネルギーを感じるような絵をいっぱい描いていきたいと思います。

“I don’t want to put on a sloppy exhibition.”
Ah I said it, finally said it out loud myself!!

When facing my works, I want to create pieces that convey a sense of energy, pieces that make you feel a thrilling, tingling energy. I aim to produce many such artworks.

🟢個展記念作品について
🟢About the commemorative work for the solo exhibition

『やるぞ！スタートするぞ！』ていう様な絵にしたいなと思っていますね。一緒に並走して行っていただけたらなていう気持ちを一緒に昂らせて行っていただけたらなと思います。

I want to create a piece with the state of my mind of “Let’s do this! Let’s get started!” for my upcoming solo exhibition. I hope to share that feeling and excitement together, as if we’re running alongside each other in this journey with you all and I.
