ASUKA ZEN solo exhibition「最終地点」
PAST 2025.04.18 - 2025.04.29この度、2025年4月18日(金)〜4月29日(火)に、ASUKA ZENによるSolo Exhibition「最終地点」をCONTRASTにて開催いたします。
個展「最終地点」では、完成と崩壊、誕生と終焉、その対極にある美しさをテーマにした作品群を展示します。
建築現場や解体現場をモチーフにしたインスタレーションでは、変わりゆく都市の姿を体感できる空間を創出。そこには、新たなものが生まれる美しさだけでなく、無くなっていく過程に宿る儚さや哀愁が込められています。
また、会場には絵画作品も展示され、力強い筆致と鮮烈な色彩で、変化のエネルギーや時間の流れが表現されています。工事現場が持つ無機質な風景と、アートが生み出す感情のコントラストをぜひ直接ご体感ください。
【本イベントについて/About The Exhibition】
私は自己の経験を基に制作している。
今回の個展では自分のルーツを辿り、建設業を営む父の工事現場で過ごした幼少期の記憶を振り返った。
父は数々の現場に携わり街を作り、何もなかった場所に建物が建ち、完成した現場を見に行くのが私にとって楽しみであり、工事現場は私の遊び場でもあった。
その建設のプロセスを人生に重ねてみた。
人はどんなものを積み重ね、どんな未来を築いて行くのか、
完成する建物や場所が人生の最終地点だとすると、何をもってゴールや完成となり、そこにはどんな景色が広がっているのか、
その過程に後戻りはなく、途中で崩す事もできない人生の在り方を鑑賞者へ問いかける展覧会としたい。
その最終地点には、これまで積み重ね彩ってきた時間や歴史があるからこそ美しく、それが人生なんだとここで証明したい。
I am creating my works based on my own personal experiences. In this exhibition, I engage in a profound reflection on my origins, revisiting the memories of my childhood spent at my father’s construction sites.
My father was involved in numerous projects that contributed to urban development, and it purely was a great joy to witness the transformation of naked landscapes into thriving structures. The construction site became my playground.
Now, I have projected construction process onto human experience. What have individuals been stacking on in their lives, and what visions of the future are they actively shaping? If the completed buildings and places symbolize the final destination of life, what defines the goals or completions, and I wonder what we could see in the view there.
I aspire for this exhibition to provoke contemplation among viewers about your own journey, recognizing that we cannot deconstruct our lives in midway that there is no turning back.
It is my intention to convey that “the final destination” is beautiful precisely because of the time and history that has been accumulated and enriched along the way, and I wish to prove that this is what life is all about.

【ASUKA ZEN / 全 明日香】
自己の経験を基に、作品を通じて「 生と終 」というテーマを対称的に描き、生命の儚さと不可避な終わり（死）が織りなす対話を表現しています。
作品は、生命のエネルギーが躍動し、キャンバスから溢れ出し、枠を越えることで自由さを感じさせます。
これは、死という固定された運命に対抗するかのように、生命の多様性と無限の可能性を象徴しています。
生命の有限性を自覚することは今を生きる意味を感じることであり、こうして刻まれる一つひとつの歩みが生きた証となり、至る未来へ悦びをもたらことを願い、作品を生み出しています。
Based on her own experiences, ASUKA ZEN symmetrically portrays the theme of “life and death” through her artworks, expressing the dialogue between the fleeting nature of life and its unavoidable ending (which means death).
Her works are vibrant with the energy of life, overflowing from the canvas, and transcending its boundaries, giving the viewer a sense of freedom.
This symbolizes the diversity and infinite possibilities of life, as if in opposition to the predetermined fate of death.
To be aware of the limits of life is to feel the meaning of living in the present. ZEN creates works with the hope that each step taken in this way will become a proof of her own life existence and bring joy to the future to come.
